Hanwen Zhang

Hanwen Zhang graduated from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, the United States in 2022, majoring in Fashion Design with a bachelor’s degree. He comes from Qingdao, China, and is based in Qingdao right now. He has learned a lot about the apparel design industry such as fashion illustration, hand sewing, concept creation, pattern making, 3D draping, and digital design. He received professional training and has a solid theoretical foundation and practical experience in clothing design.

 

During his internship at a designer brand, Hanwen served as an assistant designer, which trained him to be diligent, pragmatic, and eclectic, enhanced his professionalism and sense of responsibility, and cultivated a spirit of unity and innovation. The experience opened her eyes to clothing materials, craftsmanship, and pattern making. This experience helped him gain an in-depth understanding of the construction process of fashion brands, as well as the specific process of clothing from design to mass production in factories. This was a huge help for his soon-to-be-founded own fashion brand.
